Forever chemicals out. Minerals in. Under your sink in ten minutes.

What comes out. What stays in.

Headwater filters the bad and keeps the minerals.

A pitcher takes the chlorine taste out and stops there. Reverse osmosis takes everything out, including the minerals your body was using. The Headwater does neither.

It is certified to NSF/ANSI 53 for PFOA and PFOS reduction. That is a third-party standard the filter had to pass in a lab, not a claim we wrote ourselves.

The Headwater does not reduce fluoride.

Forever chemicals, certified out

PFOA and PFOS do not break down and do not boil off. The Headwater is certified to NSF/ANSI 53 to reduce them before the water reaches your glass.

Chlorine, cysts and chemicals out

Also reduced: chlorine taste and odor, cysts like giardia and cryptosporidium, herbicides and pesticides, VOCs and petroleum-based chemicals, and sediment.

Healthy minerals stay in

The carbon block targets contaminants, not minerals. Your water still tastes like water, because the minerals that make it taste that way never left. No flat, stripped water and no remineralizing drops to buy.

Wellness starts at the tap

The most effective thing in your health routine is a glass of water.

Make it one worth drinking.

Serums, supplements, sleep trackers, gym memberships. All of it is built on the water you drink every day, and most people have never looked at what is in it.

Nobody drinks enough of water they do not like. The Headwater makes your tap taste clean and crisp with the minerals left in, so drinking more stops being a chore and becomes the easiest part of your routine.

Skin that looks the part

Well-hydrated skin looks plumper, smoother and brighter, with fine lines less visible and a healthier natural glow. Hydration is the one skincare step that works from the inside.

Hair and nails that grow the way they should

Hair and nails are built from the water and minerals your body delivers. Water that still carries its magnesium, calcium and iron supports the strong, shiny growth products alone cannot fake, and brittle nails are often the first thing to improve.

Man drinking water after a workout at home

Energy and recovery that hold all day

Every cell in your body runs on water. It moves nutrients in and waste out, which is why athletes and wellness-minded people drink more of it. Better water, more of it, and you feel the difference by mid-afternoon.

Everything in the box. Nothing to cut.

Installed in under 10 minutes. No plumber, no new faucet, no drilling.

If you can access the space underneath your faucet, you can install the Headwater. It connects to the cold line you already have and feeds the faucet you already use.

What you will not need: a plumber, a second faucet or countertop hole, cut pipe, a drain line or a power outlet.

The Headwater installed under a kitchen sink with the three install steps called out

Three steps, ten minutes

  1. Attach the mounting bracket to the wall (optional)
  2. Connect the cold-water valve to one side of the head and your faucet line to the other.
  3. Twist in the cartridge and run the tap for 5 minutes.

Done. That's all it takes to install the Headwater.

Why choose the Dipper Headwater

Certified. Built in the USA. Keeps the minerals. Nobody else checks all three.

If you live a healthy lifestyle, your water should meet the same standard as everything else you put in your body. The Headwater is built for exactly that.

Compare it to a pitcher that only fixes the taste, a fridge filter that was never certified for forever chemicals, or a reverse osmosis system that costs more, wastes water and strips the minerals out. The Headwater is the healthy choice and the simple one.

Make the switch the healthiest people you know already made.

The Headwater with its certification and specification callouts

Independently certified

Certified to NSF/ANSI 53 for PFOA and PFOS reduction. That is a third-party standard the filter had to pass in a lab. Many of the filters sold online have never been tested against it.

The Dipper Headwater under-sink filter

Proudly built in the USA

The filter doing the work is made here to a certified standard, so you know exactly what is in it and what is not. No mystery cartridges, no unknown materials touching your water.

Filling a bottle at full speed from the kitchen faucet

Full-pressure flow, straight from the tap

1.67 gallons a minute from the faucet you already use. Fill a pot, a bottle or a glass at full speed. No waiting on a pitcher, no fridge dispenser trickle, and no cases of plastic bottles to carry in and throw away.

Zero-risk guarantee

Try it for 90 days. If you do not taste the difference, send it back.

We are confident enough in the Headwater to put it in writing. The only thing you are risking is going another six months drinking what comes out of your tap right now.

Diagram of the Headwater mounted inside an under-sink cabinet

Will it fit under my sink?

The Headwater is compact. The cartridge is about 3.5 inches across and 12 inches tall, and the head screws flat to the wall of the cabinet, so it tucks into a corner and leaves the rest of the space to you.

Woman at her kitchen faucet with a glass of water

Does it need its own faucet?

No. The Headwater connects in line with the cold supply feeding the faucet you already have, so there is no second faucet to install and no hole to drill in the counter. Your hot water is untouched.

What does it not do?

It is not a reverse osmosis system, which is the point: the minerals stay. Plan on a fresh cartridge every 500 gallons or six months, whichever comes first.

Wellness starts at the tap

    Wife has a sensitive palate

She can taste chlorine at levels I can't. She says it's completely gone. That's the strongest endorsement in this house.

    Cooking with it changed things

Stocks and broths taste cleaner. I think chlorine was concentrating during long simmers.

    Renter friendly

No drilling, no permanent changes. I can take it with me when the lease is up, which is why I went with this over a plumbed system.

Flow rate is the underrated part

Every under-sink filter I researched was under 1 GPM. This one doesn't make you wait. Filling the dog bowl isn't a chore anymore.

Questions people actually ask.

Is the Headwater actually certified, or just “tested”?

Certified. The finished system holds NSF/ANSI 53 performance certification — PFOA and PFOS non-detect at the 20-parts-per-trillion standard. That distinction matters: a lot of filters advertise NSF-61, which certifies that the plastic and metal in the housing are safe to touch drinking water. It says nothing about whether the filter removes anything. Ours is the performance standard, on the finished product.

What exactly does it remove?

Certified for PFOA, PFOS, chlorine, taste, odor and cysts. The 1-micron carbon block also reduces sediment, volatile organic compounds, chloramine byproducts, herbicides, pesticides and petroleum-based chemicals.

Does it remove fluoride?

No. Fluoride requires reverse osmosis. We'd rather tell you that than sell you the wrong thing.

Does it strip out the good minerals?

No. Calcium, magnesium and iron pass straight through. Carbon block filtration targets contaminants, not minerals — which is one of its advantages over reverse osmosis.

How long does a cartridge last?

500 gallons, or about six months for a typical household. Two a year, $49 each — roughly 10¢ a gallon.

How hard is the install, honestly?

Ten minutes. Shut off the cold water, thread in the included hose, mount the bracket, turn the water back on, flush for five minutes. No drilling, no new faucet hole, no drain line, no electricity, no plumber. Standard 3/8" compression fittings.

Will it fit under my sink?

3.5" wide, about 12" installed. It fits a standard cabinet with room left over. For comparison, most competing systems are roughly 6" × 6" × 14".

Do I have to turn the water off to change the cartridge?

No. The valved head shuts the water off automatically when you twist the cartridge out. No tools, no wrench, no shutoff-valve hunting. Ten seconds.

Does it slow my water down?

1.67 gallons per minute — faster than most under-sink filters, which run between 0.5 and 1 GPM. You'll notice it's filtered. You won't notice it's slower.

Can I subscribe to cartridge refills?

Refill subscriptions are coming shortly — cartridges will arrive automatically every six months so you never have to remember. In the meantime, order a replacement any time.

What if I don't like it?

Ninety days, money back, no grudges. Five-year warranty on the housing and hardware.

I'm on well water. Will this work?

Usually, with a caveat: well water varies enormously, and if yours has iron, sulfur or bacteria you may need pre-treatment upstream of us. Email us and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right filter for your water.
