Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
Overview
This website is operated by Dipper Water Co. ("Dipper," "we," "us," or "our"). By visiting our site or purchasing something from us, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, including any additional terms and policies referenced here (our Return & Refund Policy, Shipping Policy, and Privacy Policy). These Terms apply to all users of the site, including browsers, customers, and contributors of content.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the site.
Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence to purchase from us. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, and you may not, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including copyright laws).
Products, pricing, and availability
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product at any time without notice, and to limit the quantities of any product we offer.
Prices are shown in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. We do our best to display product colors, images, and descriptions accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your screen's display is accurate.
Occasionally a product may be listed with a typographical error in its description, price, or availability. We reserve the right to correct such errors and to cancel any order placed on incorrect information, and to refund you in full if your order has already been charged.
Product performance and certification claims
The Headwater system is certified to NSF/ANSI 53 for the specific contaminant reductions stated on its product page, including PFOA and PFOS reduction to non-detect at the 20 parts-per-trillion standard. Certification claims apply only to the contaminants explicitly listed and only when the system is installed, operated, and maintained according to our instructions, including replacing the cartridge at or before its rated 500-gallon capacity.
Water quality varies enormously by location. Performance in your home depends on your incoming water. We make no representation that our products will remove contaminants not listed in the product's certification, and our products are not intended to treat water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. If you have concerns about the health effects of your water, consult a qualified professional and have your water tested.
Installation
The Headwater is designed for straightforward DIY installation, but you are responsible for installing it correctly and in compliance with local plumbing codes. We are not liable for water damage, property damage, or any other loss arising from improper installation. If you are unsure, hire a licensed plumber.
Orders and payment
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, resale, or errors in pricing or availability. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases.
Subscriptions
If you enroll in a cartridge subscription, you authorize us to charge your payment method on the recurring schedule you selected until you cancel. You can cancel any time before your next shipment processes — no phone calls, no retention gauntlet. Cancellation takes effect on future shipments; orders already processed will ship and are subject to our standard return policy.
Warranty and limitation of liability
The Headwater system carries a 1-year limited warranty from the date of installation against defects in materials and workmanship, as described in our Return & Refund Policy. Except as expressly stated, our products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dipper Water Co. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or our products. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the product giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Intellectual property
All content on this site — including text, product photography, illustrations, logos, and the Dipper name and marks — is the property of Dipper Water Co. and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, copy, or exploit any portion of the Service without our express written permission.
User comments and feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or other submissions, you agree that we may use them without restriction or obligation to compensate you. We may, but are not obligated to, monitor or edit user content, and we may remove content we find objectionable.
Third-party links
Our site may include links to third-party sites and materials that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and their inclusion is not an endorsement.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to us or other users.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
