Why Dipper

A standard you can see.

The American Dipper is a plump, slate-gray songbird that feeds by diving into cold, fast rivers. It is famously intolerant of pollution: when water quality drops, the dipper simply leaves. Biologists treat its presence as a living certification of clean water.

That's our brand in one image — a standard you can see. We pair the wildlife certification with the laboratory one: NSF/ANSI 53, tested non-detect for PFOA and PFOS at the 20-parts-per-trillion standard. And we build in Idaho — dipper country — where our manufacturing partner has been making filters for American households for decades.

Why under-sink?

Point-of-use filtration certifies the water you actually drink and cook with, at the tap where you use it. No pitcher to refill, no fridge shelf sacrificed, no waiting. Cold, clean water at full pressure — 1.67 gallons per minute.

Certify, then charm.

We keep our claims exact: every performance claim on this site traces to NSF/ANSI 53 testing. The jokes are separate. The bird insists on it.

Clean enough for a dipper.
